Cognitive Assessments with Blume Psychology
How the assessment works
The initial stage involves a consultation with Dr Laura Alcock, our Head Clinician, lasting 50 minutes (£150) or 80 minutes for complex cases (£225). She gathers developmental history and provides recommendations. For child patients, primary-school-age children typically attend with parents only, while secondary school students attend with a parent or guardian. Sessions take place face to face at our Milton Keynes clinic, though online options are available.
What's included
If a cognitive assessment is indicated and you wish to go ahead, the cost is £500, comprising:

A 90 minute face to face appointment with Dr Alcock.

Third-party consultation (typically through school).

Administration of psychometric questionnaires.
After the assessment
The assessment team meets to discuss findings and reach conclusions. Dr Alcock prepares a comprehensive report within six to eight weeks, summarising results and diagnoses if applicable. An optional feedback call or video call with Dr Alcock is available.
